Release notes and every past version live on GitHub. Gyre has no built-in updater, so this is where new versions appear first.
Then three steps

Move it to Applications
Open the DMG and drag Gyre into your Applications folder before opening it the first time.

Open it, grant Accessibility
Switching apps is what the Accessibility permission is for, so Gyre asks for it on first launch — grant it once in System Settings and you are done. The optional live window previews ask for Screen Recording separately, only if you turn them on.

Hold Option
The ring of running apps appears around your cursor. Flick toward an app, or walk to it with the arrow keys, and release to switch.

Good to know
- Move Gyre to Applications first — macOS treats apps opened directly from the Downloads folder differently.
- Gyre has no built-in updater. New versions are published on the Releases page — check there, or here, after a release.
- Everything runs locally. The only network request the app ever makes is the license check.
- No account, no telemetry, no analytics. Gyre has nothing of yours except the license key you activate.
